Bahrain East Sitra Social Housing Project is a livelihood project of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and it is also a key project of the Kingdom of Bahrain attended by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the groundbreaking ceremony. The first phase of the project includes housing construction projects and municipal supporting projects, of which housing construction projects include 1,077 sets of affordable housing, consisting of 10 types of apartments. Each house is a two-storey free-standing concrete frame and block structure with a floor area of about 200 square meters. The interior is equipped with conventional water supply and drainage, electrical and decoration projects.

On October 13, 2020, the "vanguard" of the International Business Department arrived in Bahrain to prepare for the project.

On December 27, 2020, the groundbreaking ceremony of the project was held, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Khalid of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Minister of Housing Bashim, Minister of Works Issam, Ambassador Anwar, Counselor Zhang Jun of the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain, and members of the Bahrain project team attended the ceremony.

In mid-January 2021, the project department opened a temporary construction.

On April 4, 2021, the Minister of Housing of Bahrain came to visit the project, accompanied by the project team.

On May 9, 2021, the first tender section of housing construction was officially excavated.

On September 30, 2021, the Bahrain East Sitra affordable housing project in Bahrain achieved one million safe working hours.

On April 26, 2022, the Bahrain East Sitra affordable housing project achieved 5 million safe working hours.

In May 2023, the East Sitra affordable housing project in Bahrain completed the structural works of 1,077 villas.
